Train to Flåm

Our main luggage was dropped off at Reception to be couriered to Bergen, and then we took the Oslo tram down to the main railway station, to catch our train to Myrdal.

The train was very pleasant, we were adjacent to the café car. The train made a brief stop so we could photograph the frozen waterfall.

Then we wound up in the rather pretty Flåmsbrygga hotel.

We took the FjordSafari, an open boat which took us up and down the fjord, with our guide explaining what we are seeing. They made us get into even warmer gear than usual, with another fleecy coat, then a waterproof over-jacket, better gloves, over-shoes and goggles. Once we were done we could hardly walk.
